NON-LODGEMENT ADVICE (NLA)

FOR INDIVIDUALS

Do you need to lodge a Tax Return this year?

Not everyone needs to lodge — but you do need to tell the ATO.

If you're an individual who earned little or no income during the financial year, you may not need to lodge a tax return.

This applies to people who:

- Had no taxable income during the year

- Did not operate a business or hold a current ABN as a sole trader

- Received only low or exempt income (such as government payments below the tax-free threshold)

- Have no outstanding tax debts, offsets, or refunds to claim

Even so, the ATO requires you to formally advise them that you are not required to lodge. This is called a non-lodgement advice (NLA) — and failing to submit one can result in your tax file being flagged as overdue, which can cause issues with Centrelink, banks, or future tax obligations.

Why book with us?

We take care of the non-lodgement advice on your behalf — quickly and correctly. It's a simple process, but it's one that's easy to overlook. Let us handle it so you have peace of mind that the ATO has you covered.

After completing your NLA booking, you must submit a NLA Client form.

This form helps us gather the necessary information to prepare for our meeting.

Also please upload your bank statement for the financial year on the link below. We will also perform our diligent checks with ATO and ABN register before we can proceed with this lodgement.
